Meet Dr. Youngsook Chae
Dr. Chae chose to become a dentist because she likes working with her hands and getting to interact closely with other people. Oral healthcare is always so rewarding in her eyes, especially when her patients are able to return to a healthier, happier life following care.
Dr. Chae's major was in Pharmacology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She was on the Dean's List every year, graduating summa cum laude. She then attained her dental degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
After receiving her dental degree, Dr. Chae worked in private practice for a few years in different states. During this time, she realized the benefit of treating infected teeth, especially for children, so they can maintain their long-term oral health. For this reason, she pursued her advanced endodontic training at Temple University, where she susccessfully obtained her certificate in Endodontics. Since then Dr. Chae has worked as an endodontist in various counties in Maryland while attending the American Association of Endodontists’ conference in order to stay up to date with new developments in the field. She is proud to have her article on regenerative endodontics published in the International Endodontic Journal.
At home, Dr. Chae enjoys relaxing with her husband and daughter. She spends her time away from the office going on walks and hiking with loved ones. She especially loves visiting apple picking farms and seeking out the best apple cider doughnuts available!
